Green lynx spider (Peucetia Viridians)
Hi all, one great time i got chance to meet green lynx spider under leaf. That beautiful green color and black eyes, seem like most cute. Explore some interesting fact about green lynx spider.

1. Appearance: Green lynx spider is bright green color body, long legs with black spine are covered with numerous black spots, hexagonal type eyes and oval shape abdomen.
2. Hunting method: They make no web instead humbly wait, slowly approaching and jumping on prey like a cats. Absolutely they are hunting spiders.

3. Size: Female length contains 5/8 inches (12 to 22mm). Males are approximately 1/2 inches. Males are smaller and slender than female.
4. Diet: They are live in garden, under leaf. They eat wasps, moths, bees, housefly etc.
5. Mating: Mating occurs while hanging from strand of silk. Pregnant spider can change color on abdomen like green, purple, yellow with white background. Female lays egg after mate. Egg sac construct on September to October.

One mummy spider has 25 to 600 bright orange eggs, Approximately 200 eggs.
Everytime she just hold egg sac on her femoral(legs). She becomes guard and attack everyone who come with near.
1 generation spider live 1 year. And they can produce 1 to 2 egg sac a year.
Have they harmful venom?
Mostly green lynx spider will not bit human. If they bit, we get very small pain and swelling but is not deadly.
They are mostly found in south and west areas. Spider helps to agriculture, they eat lot of harmful insects. It maintains insect count.
Note: Aperture is fixed f1.7.
