Treehopper's food is plant juice. Treehoppers suck plant juice and after digestion it poop out a surgery waste called Honeydew. Actually Ant loves Honeydew, everyone know ant's favorite food is sugary foods.

So, treehopper and Ants make agreement like If you protect me from predators, I'll give Honeydew for you. This relationship very intimate, treehopper send out alarm when they are attacked by enemies, ant will come for rescue.
